It's no secret that thermal devices are power hungry and that quality CR123A batteries are expensive and wasteful. The battery life using 1, 2, or 3, CR123A batteries in the IR Hunter, IR Patrol, or REAP-IR varies from 1.5 to 5 hours of continuous use - not nearly long enough to hunt all night without changing batteries. As battery technology progresses there are a multitude of reasons to use rechargeable 5 volt USB power banks. Quality USB power banks increase battery life over CR123A batteries, USB power banks reduce cost because they are rechargeable, and they make in-field battery replacement hassle-free.

No Tools - No modifications - Drop-In Design
The IR Patrol/IR Hunter USB power adapter threads on to your IR Hunter or IR Patrol battery compartment just like your stock battery cap, and has been designed with the same materials and workmanship as your stock battery cap. The adapter allows you to easily connect your IR Hunter or IR Patrol to a USB power source using the provided USB power cable. Each kit is supplied with a drop-in CR123A spacer cell. The provided drop-in spacer cell is necessary when the adapter is used with the IR Hunter or the IR Patrol in 2-battery configuration. The spacer cell is not needed when using the adapter with the IR Patrol in 1 battery configuration. There are no tools or modifications needed to use the adapter with your IR Hunter or IR Patrol, and if you ever want to use CR123A batteries again simply unscrew the adapter and use your device as normal.


About the Battery - Safe and Efficient
The premium cell USB power bank included in the adapter kit has many built-in features to ensure that power is delivered safely and efficiently. In fact, the rechargeable USB battery used in the adapter kit has output current stabilization, output voltage surge protection, auto shutoff/sleep mode(when not connected to device), battery cell protection, short circuit prevention, low voltage protection, and a battery charge percentage indicator to let you know how much battery life you have left.

    it is an ok system, the plug at the scope will pop out under 308 recoil. on a side not the anker battery would not charge up. also the heatshrink at the plug was not on it far enough and came loose quickly.

    This is my 3rd battery adapter kit. I run them on my IR Hunter Mk II and III. The newest one I’ll use on my Helment mounted Patrol. They work great and get many hours of use. I could not imaging running thermal with them, BUT, My compliant is they are ridiculously over priced.

    The Trijiocon MK2 and aux power supply are real game changers. Worth the price. Still trying to figure out where is the best place to carry power supply battery. Scope is currently mounted on AR but going to change out to lighter Browning BAR 308. Thanks again. Scope exceeded all expectations.

    I haven't used this one yet but I'm sure that it will be just fine. It's too bad that these cost as much as they do. I put it off long enough and by the time you pay for all the 123 batteries this should actually pay for itself pretty quickly if you use it very often.

    A must have if running a unit that eats CR123 batteries. Will pay for itself within 1-2 years for the serious user.
