PVS-14 Objective Lens Cap/Daylight Cover

The lens cap press fits onto the PVS-14 objective lens and protects the unit against damage from dirt and debris. It also helps protect the intensifier tube from damage caused by exposure to excess light. There is a small pinhole in the center of the daylight cover which allows a user to operate the unit in brighter conditions for short periods of time without damaging the intensifier tube.

The reduction in aperture created by the daylight cover and pinhole also gives the user a greater depth of focus which can be useful for close-up activities such as map reading or equipment inspection and adjustment.
