If you need long range, this is the one. Watched a video online and the UNV 20-IR looked like it did a much better job in comparison to the rest and after using it a while,I can say I get the same results. You can adjust the focus, so you can use it up close too, but that's not what I bought it for. I bought a 6x monocular and I can see in total darkness a very, very long way. Sometimes I take the cheap way and have regrets, but I'm glad I spent a little more and got the best. Tyler is very helpful and can answer any questions you have.

I just purchased a UNV 20IR after doing a lot of homework checking out other makes. First, when I called to request more info, all my questions were answered promptly and accurately...second, after ordering, I received my package in just 4 days... This illuminator works perfectly , as advertised, and I urge anyone who is not happy with the performance of their night vision equipment to try one of these before spending a small fortune on different goggles/sights/monocled etc... It would not be inaccurate to say that the UNV20IR makes the difference of night and day, literally !!!! Since writing this review, and just before posting it, I noticed that the head of the torch was noticeably loose halfway between max and min focus. I called UNV and they immediately sent me a new replacement, no hassles, no postage .....that's what I call GREAT service

Haven't had a chance to use it yet but from what I've seen in my back yard it's going to be great accesory to my n750. Called to ask about product and had a employee go through different brands with me. Ask for Tyler he was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the products this company offered.

I recently purchased a new Sightmark Photon 5 X 42 Night Vision Scope with the UNV 20-IR long range Illuminator from Ultimate Night Vision and I am happy to say that I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. This system was easy to set up and sight in and I was able to easily spot and shoot a wild boar on my first night of hunting at 292 yards. This scope is works great for the price and although the built in laser illuminator works fine out to 150 yards, the UNV 20-IR was able to extend my range well past 300 yards and be easily focused in on objects. Tyler with Ultimate Night Vision was a great help with my concerns and was patient with all the questions I had before and after the purchase.

Originally I chose another long range IR illuminater but Ultimate Night Vision recommended the UNV 20-IR in place of the one I was looking at. I saved money and got one that works just as well for less money.

Altho new,(2&1/2 years),to night vision shooting & observation,I have been shooting and hunting for 50+ years with an 11 year stint in 1,000 yard rifle competion. I have to give Cudos to Ultimate Night Vision for such an EXCELLENT portable hand held or mountable IR light! I am now in the process of returning a night vision digital rifle scope (NOT UNV's) for it's lack of night time effectiveness. I ordered the UNV 20IR to test on the defective scope. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It was like a whole new world. I could see the mailbox @ 350yds. and WAY beyond. I would recommend this product to anyone who demands the "Ultimate" in high performance. Buy once and do it right!

The UNV 20 IR provides spectacular illumination for the Photon digital scope. The farthest unobstructed objects in my back yard are at 400 yds and the UNV 20 not only illuminates them, but you get the sense that it's nowhere near the limit of it's range. Also, there is none of the graininess associated with laser IR filters. The UNV 20 is noticeably less effective with my Gen 1 & 2 items and for those I would opt for a different light. But, coupled to a digital scope it really shines!
