The DTNVS (Dual Tube Night Vision Skeletonized) is a lightweight folding binocular built on proven technology and enhanced for greater reliability verse previous generations of Night Vision Binoculars. The DTNVS binocular combines lightweight materials and a low profile when folded to the helmet which reduces neck strain during extended missions.
At Ultimate Night Vision we are dedicated users of our products and we understand that failure of mission-critical equipment is not an option. One of our primary objectives is to greatly improve the level of end user customer service in the night vision and tactical optics industry. One way we accomplish this through our industry-leading 10/10 Ultimate Warranty. During the published warranty period, Ultimate Night Vision will repair or replace, at its discretion, any UNV branded image intensification optic that becomes defective from normal use. If we cannot repair an optic in less than ten days (from time or receipt), we will offer a replacement in like or better condition. This warranty covers new builds and does not apply to refurbished goods...more info.
The DTNVS binocular has a full feature set with individual sideways ON/OFF for each eyepiece and Flip-Up ON/OFF when folded up preventing backsplash on the helmet. To complete the DTNVSs’ features it incorporates built-in IR LED for close quarter missions with separate IR-ON indicator and low battery indicator in the field of view.
The DTNVS uses standard CR123A batteries as commonly found in lasers or flashlights. A single battery provides over 25 hours of run time. However, as the pods shut off when flipped up and therefore halve the power consumption, most users report up to 35 hours on a single battery.
The DTNVS features a fiber-reinforced polycarbonate body with a matte-black, corrosion resistant finish. It is waterproof to 20 meters (66 feet) for 2 hours.

Good is expensive
Makes dark things seem less dark. Anyone looking at goggles should go with an articulated bridge. Get the good tubes and be happy on the inside.

DTNVS
Granted, my NV experience is limited but...I think I can safely say that these are the way to go if you have the budget.
Operationally, these guys give you everything. Auto on/off when swinging the tubes up or stowing them (it does NOT turn off if you look straight up though, which is nice...still not sure how they do it, haha). They're lightweight, and slick with no unnecessary doodads. Turn it on, tiny IR led if you need, and go.
They feel SOLID. When you hold these in your hands, you can tell that you got what you paid for.
