The PVS-14 is the all around best multi-functional night vision monocular available. Head or helmet mounted, the PVS-14 allows the user to retain their night adapted vision in one eye while viewing their surroundings through the illuminated eyepiece of the PVS-14. The new battery housing completes the perfect package by allowing the user to power off the unit when in an upright position and power on when flipped down. Another strength is its ability to be weapon mounted behind most collimated daylight aimers and Reflex sights.

This allows the user the ability to use their PVS-14 both as a night vision monocular for increased mobility and tactical awareness and as a short range weaponsight. Gain control gives the user the ability to increase or decrease the tube gain. Under extremely dark conditions, gain control allows the user to adjust the gain upward, giving a better image. Under high light conditions, details can be washed out due to an excess of light. Lowering the system gain can allow those details to be better seen. Additional features of the PVS-14 include an infrared LED with LED indicator and a low battery indicator.

    Excellent Equipment and People

Posted by Dean on May 20th 2020

Great rental process and people to deal with at UNV. Left a message on Friday, had a call back Monday, and had this unit in my hand on Friday. Very painless rental with loads of communication

The unit itself is very impressive. I hadn't used a PVS 7 or 14 since 2002 at Fort Belvoir. The resolution on this unit didn't seem that different, but filmless WP definitely is different. I never needed supplemental IR under a cloudy waxing gibbous moon, and I didn't get the headaches I used to with a 14. Don't forget you still need a shroud and some sort of helmet or Crye Nightcap to go with renting one of these so you can get the most out of it. I wouldn't hesitate to pick one of these up, and I would definitely rent or buy from Ultimate Nightvision. They're great folks.

    Absolutely perfect

For my very first night vision rental ever I couldn’t have been more happy with the results. I got everything I wanted and more for my milsim OP and would 10/10 recommend rentals for anyone looking to try out night vision for such a great price. You guys should definitely try and offer other rentals such as dual PVS-14 set ups or even different types of NOD options in the future. I’ll definitely be coming back for more next time!

The product was exactly what it was in the description, and in great shape for a rental. More importantly, The customer service this company provides is excellent and why I would recommend them to anyone else looking to rent NVGs.
